Indian Mountain ATV Park
Indian Mountain ATV Park covers 4,700 acres in Cherokee County, Alabama, on the Alabama-Georgia border at elevations between 850 and 1,150 feet on the lower Appalachian ridges of the southern Blue Ridge. The acreage makes Indian Mountain one of the largest private OHV parks in the Southeast, large enough that the 100 miles of trail on the property can accommodate high visitor volume without the congestion that plagues smaller parks on busy weekends. Trail character at this elevation is characteristic of the southern Blue Ridge lower slopes: forested ridge routes, mud sections in the clay hollows, hill climbs on the steeper eastern-facing slopes, and the creek crossings that define bottomland riding in Alabama's mountain counties. The trail system is rated mostly intermediate, appropriate for riders who have moved past true beginner terrain but do not require extreme technical challenge for a satisfying day. ATVs, UTVs/side-by-sides, and dirt bikes are all permitted on the system; no machine rentals are available on site. Rider day passes run $18 for ATVs and motorcycles, $25 for side-by-sides. Camping is available on site with tent sites at $15/night, RV sites at $25/night, and cabin rentals for groups. Operating hours are Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday–Saturday 8am–8pm, Sunday 8am–5pm, closed Monday through Wednesday (256-300-1223).
